[ Fast-track Admissions to CUHK Economics PhD Programme 2021-22 ]
We are launching a Fast-Track PhD admission scheme for outstanding candidates (with a Bachelor’s degree of 1st class honours or equivalent) who have difficulties to commence overseas studies as planned due to the recent pandemic or travel restrictions. Candidates who are holding a PhD in Economics admission offer from top overseas universities (world ranking top 50) are eligible to apply. All successful applicants will receive Vice-Chancellor's PhD Scholarship offered by the University.
Supporting Documents Required
1) An electronic copy of the admission offer for 2021-22 from top 50 overseas universities in QS/THE World University Rankings
2) Resume/CV
3) Electronic copies of academic transcript(s) and graduation certificate(s)
4) A research proposal of about five pages
5) English language test results (TOEFL, IELTS, GMAT, etc.)
6) GRE test result (if available)
7) Two confidential recommendations (to be sent by referees directly)
8) A copy of identity card or passport
Applicants are required to submit their applications and upload the required supporting documents via the CUHK Graduate School website by Apr 16, 2021 (Fri). Shortlisted applicants will be invited for admission interview.

[The 2017/18 Excellent Undergraduate Paper Awards]
Every year, CUHK Economics gives up to seven Excellent Undergraduate Papers Awards. Students competing for the awards are the authors of either term papers that score an "A'' or papers our teachers nominate. 7 teams were awarded this year, 3 from the junior division and 4 from the senior division. Tina Jinci LIU’s paper wins the Mirrlees Award. Congratulations!
